Jeremy Hunt (The foreign secretary of UK) has urged Iran to release their illegally seized ship.
He said that “it raises very serious questions about the security of British and international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.”
He said it all after Iran released the video of ship seizing on Friday. Government of Iran said that “the vessel was violating international maritime rules”.
After a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Mr Jeremy said “Iran viewed this as a tit-for-tat situation following the detention of an Iranian tanker in Gibraltar.
And he said “nothing could be further from the truth”.
The owners of the ship said “they wanted access at the port of Bandar Abbas to the 23 crew members, all of them are in good health (they said).”
