Google and Levi’s will introduce the ‘World’s First Smart Jacket’ this year

According to Project Jacquard, Google and Levi’s are going to release the world’s first smart jacket.

In wearable technology, consumers are still able to see smart watches, health bands and smart shoes, but with Google and Levi’s, the concept of wearable is changing.

Google and Levi’s will introduce the world’s first smart travel jacket this year. Most of the jackets will be similar to Levi’s travel jackets, but they will also include conductive fabric, called Interactive Denin.

The sleeve of this jacket will have Bluetooth devices attached.

Google announced the creation of a jacket under Project Jacquard last year in collaboration with Levi’s. Earlier in 2015, Google introduced new technologies called Project Jacquard and Project Cello to add connected devices to clothing.

The Levi’s Jacket Project will be Jacquard’s first product to be introduced this year.

Inside the cloth used in this jacket, many small electronic circuits are knitted. The sleeves of the jacket will be touch-sensitive. The jacket will use a cuff-link style Bluetooth device that will be used to replace the sleeve buttons.

Touch commands and motion commands on the jacket cloth will move them from Bluetooth buttons to smart phones or other connected devices.

If you are listening to a song while traveling, you do not need to remove the device to change it, but you only have to touch your sleeve or call ‘reject’.

The navigation feature can also be controlled by motion.

The jacket will also give the user a slight vibration feel. This is included so that the user can be informed when a call or message arrives.

The best part of the jacket is that after removing the cuff-link style Bluetooth device it can be washed as normal clothes.
