According to a report released by the National Institute of Statistics of China, China’s GDP increased by 6.2 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year.
The GDP growth rate in the first half of this year was 6.33 percent higher than the same period last year.
Following the release of these figures, some foreign media said that China’s GDP growth in the second quarter was the slowest in nineteen years, which means that the Chinese economy suffered a slowdown.
In this regard, Ms Margaret Molnar, director of the China Economic Policy Office of the World Economic Cooperation and Development Organization, said that it was baseless.
In view of the current global situation, the Chinese economy has made significant progress. The Chinese government said that in the first half of this year, the Chinese economy has made overall steady growth.
Ms Margaret Molnar agrees. He said that although the pace of economic development is slower than before, it has seen a slight decline, indicating that the Chinese economy is stable.
On the other hand, the quality of the Chinese economy has been raised. This shows that the Chinese economy has grown.
The emerging industry has become an important source of growth for the Chinese economy.
