Security forces opened fire on protesters against a military coup in Myanmar, killing at least 13 people and wounding several others.
The British news agency Reuters quoted local media as saying that several small explosions were heard in the capital Yangon while a Chinese-owned factory was set on fire.
The military ruler has said that the civil disobedience movement is “destroying” Myanmar.
